Hey, I'm MacKenzie!

I'm a small-town artist that has found huge joy in creating wildlife and nature related pieces, recreated into vinyl die-cut stickers, cards and MORE.

A little explanation to the name "Crown and Root" is in order, since it was first formed for my wood burning sales several years ago. I decided it needed to stay, despite my artwork style altering.

I basically wanted to take the "body" of a tree as a whole and use it to represent myself- The top of a tree with it branches and leaves, is referred to as the "crown". This allows photosynthesis to occur. The tree can not survive without the crown and the tree can not survive without the root system, therefore making both aspects equally important for everything that happens in between.

Basically, you can't grow without a solid base or a strong front willing to adapt to it's surroundings- and that is exactly how I view life!

I live in the woods and it is my absolute favorite place to be. I will always try to represent myself through artwork that shows the beauty of nature and all things around us that we love- the natural things that are absolutely priceless.
